TAKE Solutions’ Lalo Solorzano and John Goodrich to Speak at 2011 ICPA Conference on NAFTA Compliance Best Practices


Conference theme provides platform to discuss how to companies can refine their NAFTA origination processes, while minimizing trade compliance risk


Princeton, NJ – January 24, 2011 – TAKE Solutions Inc., leader in the Supply Chain Management and Life Sciences domains, announced today that International Trade Consultants Lalo Solorzano and John D. Goodrich, will speak at the 2011 ICPA Conference held March 20-24 at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Phoenix, Arizona. Both consultants will present a 90-minute session titled, “Good, Better & Best Practices in a NAFTA Compliance Program” on Monday, March 21 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. local time in the “Pitcher’s Room.”

In line with this year’s conference theme of Spring Training, Mr. Solorzano and Mr. Goodrich will discuss the common challenges faced when participating in the NAFTA program. The program is full of land mines and pitfalls and well, it simply takes a lot of old fashioned hard work to do it correctly. Participants in the NAFTA program tend to make the job even more difficult than it has to be or, the choice is made to participate when opting out would be more appropriate. Attendees will hear about good, better, best (and a few bad) NAFTA compliance practices, real-world scenarios, and the opportunities for refining their company’s NAFTA origination process, while minimizing trade compliance risk.
Mr. Solorzano has been involved in the field of International Trade for more than twenty-three years, and is currently working for TAKE Solutions. In that capacity, Mr. Solorzano is responsible for consulting and helping customers automate their Trade Compliance efforts in the area of NAFTA, Mexican Customs and Free Trade Agreements. Mr. Solorzano has collaborated in trade publication articles as well as chaired the technology committee for Mexican manufactures during implementation of SAAI. Mr. Solorzano works out of the El Paso, TX office.
Mr. Goodrich is an International Trade Consultant and Licensed Customhouse Broker with more than twenty-five years of experience in international trade. In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Goodrich is an engaging instructor and speaker on a variety of international logistics and compliance subjects. He has authored over fifty articles and six books, including an instructional text on the NAFTA. Mr. Goodrich and his family reside in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
