B2B/EDI

B2B (system-to-system/EDI) integration is a loose integration approach for interfacing OneSCM with your suppliers. B2B/EDI is used to communicate directly with your suppliers' systems, whereas the web portal approach requires that they access OneSCM via an internet login and interface.

Although implementation of B2B/EDI is more complex and time consuming than using the web portal option, it provides seamless communication between OneSCM and your suppliers by using XML or another mutually agreed upon format to integrate your systems.

Technical details:

  • Schema: PIDX, PIP, or other mutually agreed upon format for XML and ANSI X12 for EDI
  • Transport: B2B typically uses HTTPS; other options are RNIF and AS2. For EDI over HTTP, transport is AS2 or plain HTTPS. Traditional EDI uses VAN (Value Added Network)
