Forecast Collaboration provides a direct communication link between suppliers and planners to ensure that manufacturing sites can fulfill customer demand. MRP Forecast data flows from the ERP or planning system to OneSCM...into flexible planning buckets.  Planners manage the forecast through OneSCM's simplified material forecast GUI. 

Sample forecast layout:

• Daily buckets for two weeks
• Weekly buckets for six weeks
• Monthly buckets for four months
• Remainder in quarters half-years, years, 18-months

OneSCM offers planners a seamless forecast/commit interaction with suppliers. Planners can update the requested quantity for each bucket based on real-time information. Suppliers respond with commitments based on what they can deliver. Issues are managed on an exception basis according to customizable rules and workflow. 

OneSCM's Demand Forecast module can be tightly integrated into the Purchase Order module of OneSCM, so that purchase orders can be created based on the material forecast.

How this works: planners create and approve promises based on quantities suppliers have committed. Approved promises automatically send a Blanket PO Release to suppliers, who use OneSCM's Purchase Order module to ship the committed quantity to the manufacturing plant.
